Information for Parents
Spectators are welcome at all meets.
Parkview most often swims at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center or the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center. Both pools have seating for spectators. All meets will have concessions.
When you get to the meet, look for the Parkview people! Families and friends try to sit together while we cheer our Panthers. You can easily spot Parkview fans because we wear ORANGE!
Parents serve a vital role during meets — working as VOLUNTEERS in essential meet functions. Some roles require training, most do not. And there are always experienced parent volunteers on hand to answer questions. Each Parkview family is normally required to volunteer at three to four meets throughout the season. Each volunteer shift is half a meet (or occurs before or after the meet).
Parents also provide one of our athletes' favorite activity of the season -- TEAM DINNERS (sometime lunches). Families host team dinners a day or two prior to each meet (normally Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays). Often, a few families will host a meal together, and athletes are always asked to contribute the dessert.
