Spooky Reminders and a big Congratulations!
October 31st
Panther Swim and Dive Nation,
Happy Halloween. Hope everyone has a great, safe day!
First a huge congratulations to our own Abby McCulloh for being selected to the Gwinnett Daily Post Super Six Swimming 2018 - 2019 list. This list features the top high school swimmers across the county (and I would add the country). So awesome to see her name in lights! If you missed the article, you can read it here
And now a few reminders as tomorrow is a busy day:
- Team pictures will be held tomorrow morning before school at 6:45 AM in the old gym. Your athlete will get this year's team shirt right before the picture and will be asked to put it on for the picture.
- Tomorrow is also your last chance to buy spirit wear, our second and final BSN pop up shop is open now, but closes tomorrow - so if you have shopping to do don't delay. You can link directly to our shop from our home page
- Our first team dinner/stock concessions party is tomorrow too. Hosted by the Fountain's (5350 Country Lake Court)
- All team members should bring $3 to help cover the cost of the meal, boys bring desserts to share. All bring drinks to help stock concessions – see detail on drinks below.
- Please help by donating drinks to stock concessions for future home meets. Freshmen bring a case of bottled water. Sophomores bring a 12 pack of Coke in cans. Juniors bring Powerade, we are looking for the 20 oz bottles. Seniors bring a 12 pack of Sprite in cans.
- And finally, the first meet of the season will be on Saturday 11/3 at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center, first splash at 7:20 PM – bus will leave Parkview at 5:30 PM – be sure your team member is at Parkview early to ride the bus. Keep in mind, this is a unique 4 way meet between the fastest teams in Gwinnett County. Not everyone will compete in this meet as our entries are limited given the number of teams. The Coaches will let your athlete know if they are entered or not.
Make it a great day,
Kathy and Beth
