Dear Swim and Dive Families,

What a great meet on Saturday.  Congratulations to both our women and men for winning the meet last Saturday against Mill Creek and Grayson.  Everyone that attended was treated to some fast swims and great dives.

This week will be another busy one for the team - with swimmers and divers competing in different places.  Please read on for all of the details.

The majority of our swimmers will be competing at Clody.  For those of you new to the team, Clody is a county wide invitational meet hosted by the Gwinnett County Swim and Dive Booster Club. Half the high schools compete at Mountain Park (that's where we will be) and the other half compete at West Gwinnett.  Because this is an invitational, things are a little different.  Expect to be at the meet longer. Spectator seating for adults is $5.00, and for school aged kids it's $3.00.  Heat sheets will be available for $2.00.  First splash on Saturday is 9:00 AM.  Our team has first warm ups and will be in the pool by 7:45 am.  No folding chairs are allowed at Mountain Park for this event.  Clody tshirts and other attire will be available for sale so you might want to bring some extra cash.

In addition to Clody, several of our swimmers will be competing at Senior Short Course state at Tech starting on Friday - Sunday.  And I am happy to share that there will be one Panther represented at Junior Nationals this week in Greensboro with Abby McCulloh swimming there.

Our divers will be split this weekend too across two dive events both hosted at Mountain Park.  We have one set of divers competing in the Hudson Memorial 11 dive event at Mountain Park on Friday, December 7th and a second set competing in the Clody diving event on Saturday, December 8th.  Please note that spectator seating will run $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for school age kids and no folding chairs are allowed.  All divers, please check with your coach around what time to arrive.  I don't have the timeframe for Hudson however for Clody it will be boys diving followed by girls diving (all teams) warm up for the boys starts at 3:00 PM, meet starts at 4:00 PM. Warm up for girls will start at the conclusion of the boys diving (girls should arrive no later than 5:00 PM).  Best of luck to all of our divers over the weekend!  Dive well and have a great time.

For both Clody and the Hudson Memorial Dive event we are responsible for concession and hospitality.  We have a few more volunteer slots left - especially for the dive event Saturday.  If you have an athlete competing at this event - please consider signing up to volunteer we really need you.
