What a great county meet!  Great dives, fast swims, new state cuts, lots of finalists and the best cheering section in the county!  Congratulations to all of our athletes!!  Many thanks to our parents who volunteered all week, to Tina Roark, Anna Partlow and Andrea Smith for helping with the heavy load at dive concessions and hospitality and to Annie Laurie McCulloh for feeding our athletes during all county sessions.  Lastly thanks to our Coaches for their hard work!  If you pre-ordered county tshirts, I am working to get them out tomorrow.

Abby McCulloh is up for the fan choice athlete of the week for the Gwinnett Daily Post.  Abby is an amazing student athlete here at Parkview, humble, kind, smart and very very fast.  On Saturday she broke her own two team records, helped break two team relay records and broke the Gwinnett County Championship Meet record in the 500 free.  So if you are reading this, take 10 seconds out of your day (voting closes Thursday at 11:59 AM) and vote for Abby  HERE

This weekend will kick off State Week for our state qualified athletes.  On Saturday, 2/2 at 12:00 PM we will have hair bleaching, poster making and lunch at the Fountain's (5350 Country Lake Court - keep in mind boys this process will take several hours, bring a towel and something you don't mind getting bleach on) - on Sunday, 2/3 at 5:30 PM there will be a state team dinner at the Petmecky's, carpool or park in the neighborhood across the street.  More details about state as it gets closer, but for now, diving will be 2/7 warm ups 1-3; competition 3 - 7:30.  Swimming prelims 2/8 warm up 4:20 - 5:50; competition 6 - 9:30.  Swimming finals 2/9 warm up 3:30 - 5:30; competition 5:30 - 9:30.  Doors open for all sessions 2 hours prior to competition.

We will celebrate our season with a banquet to be hosted at Parkview on Monday, March 4th - 6:30 PM. While our athletes will eat for free, tickets for everyone else will be available for purchase on our website starting next week for $13 a piece.
