Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you had an easier time waking up your athlete this morning than I did.  Seriously, we're coming back to school for the most spirited meet of the season - BROOKWOOD. As a first time swim parent last year, I was blown away at how festive and intense it was - I really enjoyed myself.  Our meet is on Friday evening vs. the Saturday meets we've had over the last few weeks.  Look forward to seeing you there - here's some key information for this week, as well as the county meet:

1. Team Dinner, hosted by Hart/Byrne families, Thursday, January 9, 7-9pm
5362 Candleberry Dr, Lilburn.

Many, many grateful thanks to Kelly and Greg Hart for agreeing to host this week's team dinner at their home.   With a Friday meet, team dinner is on Thursday.  Remember, $3 per athlete for the cost of the dinner, and the boys are up for brining dessert. 

2.  Sign up for meet volunteer slots on the team website.
As the home team for the meet, we're responsible for set-up, concessions, timing, computer operation, and tear down.  Right now we have three open spots: Hytek Operator, Concessions and Timer.  Just click on the meet at the home page and then the green Job Signup icon next to the meet event.   If you have volunteered but will be unable to make it, please find a substitute, and let me know.   Lastly, we can always use a few extra hands for setup and tear down.  Thanks!

3.  Dual Meet vs. Brookwood, Friday January 10, 7:20pm
Mountain Park Aquatic Center, 1063 Rockbridge Rd, SW Stone Mountain.

Warm-ups start at 6:30 - athletes should arrive 20 minutes before warm-up.

4.  County Meet Merchandise is Available now through 6pm January 23.
Hard to believe that the county meet starts January 22.   Merchandise is available for purchase at https://stores.inksoft.com/hscountymeet/shop/home
