Last week of the first semester - exam week, a Saturday meet in Mountain Park, followed by no school, family festivities...and practice.   Here's the news you can use:

• Team Dinner and Holiday Party, Friday December 17, 6:30pm, Evergreen Lakes Clubhouse, 1230 Denmark Drive, Lilburn.  Hosted by the Hart family.  Bring a $5 donation for dinner and boys, it's your turn to bring dessert.   Following the dinner, the athletes will have a white elephant gift exchange - max gift spend $10.  Team captains will be reaching out with additional details re: gifts.  This event will run longer than the typical team dinner.
• Dual Meet vs. Collins Hill, Saturday December 18, 7:20pm, Mountain Park Aquatic Center.  Athletes arrive 6:10pm, warm-ups start 6:30pm, meet starts 7:20pm.   We're still looking for two volunteers: one console operator and one concession salesperson.   Please sign up on the team website ASAP - thanks!
  • This meet is also Future Panther Night - all middle schoolers with an interest in swimming or diving are invited to attend Saturday's meet.  They will come down on the pool deck, speak with the captains and coaches, and get an up close look at our program.  Should be a lot of fun for them.  If you know any summer league kids that should be on the team in the next couple years, be sure to reach out to their families and invite them!  
• Need Help For Senior Night, Jan 8.  Calling junior, sophomore, and freshmen parents. We need a little help with senior night on January 8 at Mountain Park. Mainly it will be setting up and small errands or jobs. More hands make less work! Plus, we need to rebuild our traditions so our kids have a fabulous senior night too when it’s their turn. 😊 If you can help out, please text Kelly Hart at 404-547-5114 or email at [email protected].  
• Finally, swim practice is scheduled Monday-Friday throughout the holiday break, with the exception of Christmas Eve.  The expectations for attendance are the same as during the school year: Coach Brown must be notified of any planned absences for holiday travel so he and the rest of the coaches can plan effective practices.   Have your athletes stay tuned to Remind for any updates on practice schedule.  I expect divers will receive similar communication on practice schedules from our dive coach.
