Updates and Training Tomorrow
Dear Parents –
The tailgate BBQ was a success! Thank you to everyone who came out and brought a dish. It was great seeing everyone. (Note: I have a nice white plate and a glass casserole dish in my classroom if you left these items at the tailgate. Have your kid come by to my room (G1.123) to grab these!)
Meet Training Tomorrow! For anyone who wants to get trained on specialized volunteer jobs. (new parents of younger swimmers, please consider!)
In-person and online training for the upcoming swim season will be offered 9am-12 TOMORROW, Saturday, October 22, at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center. This will cover the meet setup, breakdown, meet director responsibilities, and another group for console training.
The AFTERNOON training will be from 1pm - 4pm, both in-person and online via Zoom Meeting. This training will cover the computer software (Meet Manager 8.0), and items to do before, during, and after the swim meet. The in-person training is for anyone who would like to see the software and use it on a computer during the Zoom Meeting. Please bring the team computer loaded with the software. There will be 2-3 laptops set up for use also.
**It is strongly suggested that anyone that attends the Zoom Meeting have the team computer with HyTek Meet Manager 8.0 software loaded.
Please email Coach Eric, [email protected], or Mark Beeney, [email protected], with questions.
Meet of Champions, 10/29:
We will release our roster for the first meet of the season early next week. This meet will be for our faster swimmers. Swimmers should arrive at Parkview at 5:20 to catch the bus. There is no diving in this meet. Divers who are ready to compete will participate in the 6-dive kickoff meet on the same day. The divers should ask Coach Bernardo for updates.
If a swimmer has to miss a swim and dive meet, that absence needs to be communicated with the coaches via email or Talking Points at least one week prior to the meet.

Going forward, I will try to send an informational email out every Tuesday. Please read through as they will contain info for the coming weeks.
Thank you all so much – looking forward to a fantastic season.
GO PANTHERS!
