Dear Swim and Dive Parents –

Please grab your calendars… Here is this week’s information (sorry for the length!):

This Saturday - Meet of Champions, 10/29: Participating swimmers are in the attached roster.

Swimmers should arrive at Parkview no later than 5:20 pm on Saturday to catch the bus to West Gwinnett. For all meets away from Mountain Park, the coaches do ask that all athletes ride the bus to and from the meet.

Please note: Divers who are ready to compete will participate in the 6-dive kickoff meet on the same day. The divers should ask Coach Bernardo for updates.

Meet Volunteers Needed for this weekend!

First Team Lunch! Saturday Oct 29^th at 12:30pm (Reminder: attendance by ALL ATHLETES is strongly encouraged by Coach Eric – so please have your child come!)

• Hosted by: PLUMLEE RIDDLE FAMILY (Landon Plumlee)
• 4008 Linda Lane, Lilburn (Hanarry Estates) at 12:30pm
• Menu: Soup/Stew Bar (Chili, Brunswick Stew, Ham & Potato Soup, Vegetable Soup), Cornbread, Salad Bar
• Please send your child with $3-$5 to offset cost

Speaking of Team Meals!

Please consider hosting a team meal – or helping with the holiday party or county dinner. This will be first come, first serve as far as sign up dates. Senior families will be given preference if there’s a conflict. To sign up please TEXT Audrey Riddle at 678-699-5099.

A few things about the team meals:

• These dinners can be a simple dish made at home or catered. (your choice, kids will be happy regardless!)
• Please plan for about 45-50 kids.
• Feel free to pair up with another family.
• Swimmers are asked to bring about $3-$5 dollars for dinner. You can collect this in a jar to offset your costs.

• Thurs Nov 3^rd Team Dinner – for Nov 5th meet – OPEN (this could possibly be Friday night if no home football game)

• Thurs Dec 1^st Team Dinner - for Dec 2-3 meet (Clody) – OPEN
• Fri Dec 9th Team Dinner - for Dec 10 meet – OPEN
• Fri Dec 16th Team Dinner and Holiday Party - for Dec 17th meet – CARLTON FAMILY at Hanarry Swim & Racquet Clubhouse (could use additional families to help out with this one)
• Fri Jan 6th Team Dinner - Jan 7th morning meet – KRUGER family
• Thurs Jan 12th Team Dinner – for Jan 13th meet – OPEN
• Tuesday Jan 17th – county dinner! Hosted by the team at a church. (we will need parent help though!)

Fundraiser

I will be sending out a separate email about the fundraiser. It will be a hands-off online fundraiser and will be starting soon. Please look for that email and instructions on how to set up your page.

Upcoming Events:

We will have Middle School Night at our home meet with Archer on November 5th!

Please encourage younger swimmers in the cluster that you may know to come to that meet. We will have a special place on deck for them to sit. They will meet coaches and captains (and everyone else). They will also get dinner at the concession stand. Please be on the lookout for a flyer on that.
