Hello Swim and Dive Parents!

Happy Holidays and New Year! Hope the break was fabulous for everyone. TIme to get back at it! There's a lot here, so thanks in advance for reading all of this :)

Team Dinner this Friday Jan 6th!

Dinner will be at the Kruger Family home at 6:30pm. The address is 864 Newcastle Drive. As always, please send $3-$5 with your child to offset costs.

Saturday morning; Jan 7th is our meet versus Brookwood!

Mountain Park Aquatic Center

Warm up: 7:20am;        Meet starts: 8:05am

This is our Senior Meet where seniors will be recognized. (Senior families; friendly reminder to complete the 12x12 poster for your child. I will have 12x12 paper in my classroom if anyone wants to pick up on Thursday :)

If any underclassman parents are able to help with putting things together, please email Kelly: [email protected]. Specifically we need people to

• order and bring mylar or orange and blue balloons for pictures
• put senior gifts together in gift bags (we have 9 seniors)
• Come in a little early and decorate the senior lobby display (senior families will be making small posters for the display)

Volunteers still needed for Saturday's meet! All slots!!

For this meet especially, we need underclassmen parents to volunteer if possible. Many seniors may have family coming for the senior recognition and will want to watch the meet with them. 

County Meet coming up Jan 19th, 20th, 21st

Our team will be responsible for four volunteer slots each day. Here's each job and a brief (not official) description:

• One Timer: Lane 5
• Traffic/Security Person: Usually keeps people off deck. Stands around the lobby and directs people upstairs and to the elevator.
• Heat Sheet/ Admission: Sits at front desk and takes payment, checks people in, or sells heat sheets.
• Worker Coordinator: Responsible for the other 3 people doing their job :) Fills in where needed.

Board Positions are OPEN for next year!

Hey underclassmen parents.... Next year, the following positions are open: President, Social Chair, and Treasurer. There may be other openings also as current board members shift around. Please contact me (Kelly: [email protected] or text: 404-547-5114) or Eric if you would consider taking a role on the board. We just need to know who is interested, so we can pair everyone with the right job. Thanks!!

State Meet Info (old news from previous email)

Many of our athletes have state cuts - and some are close! The State Meet looks a little different this year, so please note the following on your calendar:

• Tues Jan 31 : Diving Events - 6-7A Schools AM, 1-5A Schools PM @ Westminster (Parkview is 7A, so morning. We will get more specific info closer to the event.)
• Wed Feb. 1 : 7A Swimming (Prelims at 9 am, Finals at 6 pm) @ Georgia Tech
