Parkview Swim & Dive: October 29
Hello Panthers!
Congratulations to both our boys' and girls' teams for big wins over Peachtree Ridge. For many athletes, this was their FIRST EVER high school swim meet. Great job! A special shout out goes to our state qualifiers: Hannah-Claire Jowers, Quynh Diep, Emily Atkins, Tadd Duffield, Nathaniel Beeney, and Alan Nguyen. Meet results and scores are on the website calendar section. They will be there each week after the meet. Gwinnett County publishes county rankings each week. Here are the rankings after week 1.
Athletes of the Week
Congrats to our female athlete of the week, Zara Boyer. We are so excited to have Zara back on the team after a year of recovering from an injury! Despite swimming through some lingering pain, the team is thrilled to have her swimming again!
Congrats to our male athlete of the week, William Leonard. Will has moved into the highest level training group at Spartans Aquatic Club due to his consistency and work ethic. Last year, he qualified for state at the county meet. This year, watch for him to qualify much sooner!
– Coach Brown
*New this year, athletes of the week will head home with a yard sign to display for the week, showing our Panther pride all around Lilburn. Please bring the signs back to practice the following week.
