Parkview Swim & Dive: November 12
Hello Panthers!
Congrats to Parkview Swim and Dive for a great meet against North Gwinnett. The North girls and boys both won the meet, but our kids competed very well. A special shout out goes to Hayden Tran for getting his first state qualifying time in the 100 butterfly. Watch for Hayden to qualify for more events before the season is over!
Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to Quynh Ann Diep, our female athlete of the week! Queen Quynh has qualified for state in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 backstroke. She is a consistent force on the girls relays and a HUGE bonus in our sprinting events. Watch/listen for Quynh to cheer on her teammates. She's one of the most vocal supporters of her teammates!
Congratulations to Micah Raffield, our male athlete of the week! Last year, Micah worked extremely hard to qualify for county in one event, the 500 freestyle. This year, Micah has already qualified for county in four events, including a huge time drop in the 500 freestyle. Watch for Micah to be a major contributor for the next three years!

Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award
Before Friday’s meet, the Parkview Swim & Dive Team was presented with the Georgia High School Association Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award. This awards program honors schools that exhibit exemplary sportsmanship during competitive events and is sponsored by Georgia’s Electric Membership Cooperatives, including Jackson EMC. Only one school in each region within each classification is chosen to receive this annual award. The GHSA takes into consideration all aspects of sportsmanship during events — student athletes on the field as well as fellow students, school staff, parents and game spectators, making the award a tribute to the entire community. Way to go Parkview!
See you at the pool!
